Mission San Juan Capistrano in HDR

Mission San Juan Capistrano was founded in 1777. The small adobe chapel at the Mission is one of the oldest standing buildings in California. The “Great Church” was built in the late 1700’s early 1800’s but fell in the earthquake of 1812, leaving only a few walls standing. Those standing walls are preserved along with the old mission bells.
